Acton Academy Carlsbad is a hybrid homeschool program offering both core and extra curricular activities to enrich and balance learners lives.

Where students in schools sit in desks and actively listen to their teachers, learners at Acton are in learning studios, actively involved in hands on real world projects while learning from their experiences and each other.
Yearly, weekly, and daily sessions build upon learning arcs to keep individuals engaged as they embark on their learning journey to find their gifts, talents, and a life long love for learning.

WHY ACTON ACADEMY CARLSBAD?
Hi, I'm Amanda, founder of Acton Academy Carlsbad, wife, and mother of three amazing children. I have lived in Carlsbad for over 20 years and have been very active in the local community and homeschool world, participating in and running a non-profit homeschool organization, as well as co-ops, park days, field trips, etc. and any other community sport or activity my children were involved in. I have also spent my time as a Functional Nutritionist, deep diving into gut health and real food nutrition and education. I am very passionate about helping others (including our younger generation) get to the root of their health issues which are commonly connected to gut and digestive health.
When I first began homeschooling my own children, my goal was to develop in them a lifetime love of learning, and I have witnessed this in many different aspects over the years. I have graduated two children and have a third still on their homeschool journey.
After being introduced to Acton Academy, I fell in love with the ideas and philosophies that deeply aligned with our family values, beliefs and lifestyle. My heart is for other homeschool families to have this amazing experience as well, so I decided to bring Acton Academy to our local community right here in North County San Diego and create an environment that not only supports others on their homeschool journey, but also provides the like minded support systems, friendships, fellowship and community that often lacks when you homeschool on your own.
The spirit of Acton has inspired me and I know it will inspire you too! I am so excited to guide and support families and their children as they find their calling and change the world!
